    Hi

It looks like I will be let go from my job before Christmas as the business I work for is struggling. I dont think there is huge prospect of me finding a new job anytime soon.

I'm nearly 25 and would love to to back to education and re-skill. When I done the LC I done a level 6 course for 1 year then dropped out, I received full maintenance grant for the year.

I dont have the money to cover tuition fee's so was wondering is there any way I can access free education. I have heard of 'second chance mature students' but cant find any info on the criteria needed to qualify.

I would appreciate if anyone can help or point me in the right direction.

I would suggest visiting your local VEC adult guidance service and asking for advice

The answer I gave here is also relevant

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
