It's a very good CD player, ranked highly by Linn fans (and iirc, by the press too which is not common for Linn stuff). Just be aware that it is getting old and Linn have stopped CD in favour of digital streamers, so if/when it breaks, it's not likely to be repairable...

Should work well with most of the standard "flat earth" kit (Naim/Linn/Rega amp); speakers are a personal choice and room dependent, but I'd look to Kudos/Neat/PMC/Spendor etc.
