Limit to working hours whilst in full-time education

Somebody mentioned recently that you could legally only work a maximum of 20 hours a week while in full-time education, eg- a third level undergraduate degree.

For some reason that doesn't make sense to me, and anyone I mentioned to agreed or were unsure of what the law actually was.

Anyone able to clear it up for me?

I think that may have been a reference to the conditions of a non-EU citizen present here under student visa conditions. A person here on a student visa studying full time is only permitted to work a maximum of 20 hours per week.

As above, if you're an EU citizen, then you're fine. Although mixing in more than 20 hours a week with college is tough.
