Recently enough I created a thread asking for the right way to come off of Lexapro 10mg, which was closed rightfully enough due to me asking for health advice somewhat.

The reason I am creating this thread is because I would like to know if anybody has any experience from doctors giving advice with regards to the weening off of the pill. Next month I shall have completed the recommend 6 months and would like to come off of them safely. The GP I am seeing wasn't able to give any advice really, so does anyone know any doctors who have experience in this area? Money is tight and I'd only like to spend money seeing one if I know they can advice me correctly.

The other option I was considering is consulting the pharmacist in Boots, but I am unsure as to what advice they would actually be able to give me. Does anyone know if they can do this?

Thank you. Cannot wait to be finally away from them, but I don't want to risk any unnecessary side-effects.

Your doctor needs to be the person to advise you on this. If you're not happy with your current GP, then you should ring other GPs and see if they are able to help you.

I'm sorry to do this, but I will close this thread also.
