What do celebrities think of.......

Just wondering if there are any celebrities who post on boards who can answer this. Or maybe you have a friend who is a famous celebrity.

Just wondering what they think of being asked to pose for photos with fans or having strangers come up and talk to them.

Do they view it as part of the job?
    Do they like it?

Does it give them an ego boost? (Especially if they haven't made a good film/released an album in years?)

Only happens at official royal functions for me.

It's actually illegal to take my picture otherwise.

Do local celebrities count? The buck that keeps asking for change near the Irish House hates it

I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.

I don't want to sound cynical (I know it always means someone is about to say something cynical) but I have a feeling that in general they despise the people who ask for autographs and photos most of the time but they like it when they're trying to promote their latest product and want to be reassured that the public want them and whatever it is they're selling.

All celebrities are media whores and crave constant attention from absolutely anyone. If you didn't ask them to take a photo they'd more than likely have a mental breakdown.

Im sure proper film stars get sick of it, but clowns who appear on big brother and are famous for doing nothing whoever would want a photo with one of them need a clip round the ear as far as Im concerned.

Some are really cool about it, especially if you're a legit fan. Like, I saw Michael Berryman in London a few years ago and asked for his autograph, told him how much of a fan I am and we talked about horror movies for a while. Bill Murray is well known for being cool with fans, there's loads of stories about encounters. Then you got guys like Clint Eastwood who are miserable feckers any ways.

A lot don't not mind if the approaching person, does so having tried to correctly assess when it would be appropriate to do so.
Coming up and asking for a pic', signature, etc in the middle of they saying good bye to someone or in the middle of a discussion (heated or not), etc can cause offence.
A bit of politeness and kop-on is hope for.
Do they view it as part of the job?

Most do - most appreciate it to be as part side-effect of their face being in the public domain and their job.
Do they like it? Most do - if at appropriate times.
Does it give them an ego boost? (Especially if they haven't made a good film/released an album in years?)
Of course it does most times.
However sometimes for some, it can be a painfully reminder that once they were successful but now be seen in a reduced light and work status.

Before someone asks, no, I'm not famous.
I do have a few people in my life though that are and I speak to them.

    I wanna say something.

I'm gonna put it out there; if you like it, you can take it, if you don't, send it right back.

I want to be on you.
