No but the very nice man tried to charge me for four wheel alignment on a 03 Passat which doesn't add up then he tried to sell me a complete re build of my new rebuilt front suspension. Which was nice. :)

I think more details would be needed to make sence of your question? What did they damage?

I would be interested in knowing what is wrong with offering or quoting for four wheel alignment on an 03 passat

Very sorry to hear that, of course they would be lable for any repairs right? Is your car drivable or do you need a hire car? Does anyone know would they be liable for hire car costs?

I know someone who lost her almost new corsa as a guy was fixing the exhaust on it managed to set the car or garage on fire.... car up in flames anyway. Yeah she basically got new car on their insurance, but took a while.

As said, the rear isn't adjustable. However that doesn't mean it shouldn't be checked as just because its not adjustable doesn't mean its not off.

@OP, If a garage damaged your car like that then, if you have proof, there is no question that they are liable for repairs.

However I can't picture how they could puncture a fuel tank while doing wheel alignment:confused:

no it aint drivable as a hole in the fuel tank around the size of a 2 euro coin.
do you need a hire car?

With fuel p1ssing out the back ?

I'd have recovered it on them and be hiring a car also on them.

Get yourself a nice Solicitor and call your Insurer ASAP.

Ah, so the whole tracking part is irrelivant. They damaged it on a ramp.

They are liable without question so...
