It's out next week I think, good game a tad easy though and another 15 year old game for full retail price, that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm probably gonna buy the game though as its really good. I had a lot of fun with it in the past and hopefully it'll get me through until Marioland 3D comes out.

Agreed, but it looks great...& should be a genuine test of the 3D capabilities of the 3DS. Kinda strange that the 3DS is being turned into an N64 games recycler...but looking at the caliber of games they're choosing for it...I'm happy with their choices (so far). I'd really like a bit of balance in the lineup though.

I'll be buying this, but to say the only two games I have for the 3DS are N64 ports is not the right direction I'd have chosen the 3DS to go in. But, there's plenty of time as they say!

Just one really annoying thing - it uses the camera to show your friends faces during mutiplayer..so why the hell doesn't it have online play?!

I'm really looking forward to it, but that has left a bad taste in my mouth. It's a perfect game for online play. Imagine a huge arena full of arwings shooting each other down.

Good gravy, I wasted so much time finding all the routes through this on the 64 and fighting that giant space-chimp-head. I wonder if they'll use any spare processing power in the 3DS to augment Slippy? Just once I'd like to have a mission start with "Fox, my ship is in a perfect state of repair, I'm not under any pressure from hostiles and I feel confident in completing our objectives with a minimum of fuss."

Get my 3DS on thursday, can't see this staying full price for more than a few months... will have to wait and see. Online Play seems to be restricted on quite a lot of no-brainer multiplayer titles on this handset. I'm a little worried...

I wonder do these games secretly have an online function programmed in, it's just Nintendo, for whatever reason, don't have the server power set up at the moment to support it?

Sad thing is, if 5 months down the line 'Starfox 3D online multiplayer!' appeared on the store as a paid add on, I'd probably buy the thing.

Now that's clutching at straws :D I just remember how much fun I had when I was younger with multiplayer on this. I'd be hard pressed finding 4 people I know locally with 3DSes.

Screw secret multiplayer functionality, do these games have the old US Gold "Real Life Facility" built into them? If yes, please tell me how to activate it and I'll see you all later in the Nightmare Zone...

Depressing that all the N64 games would make it onto the DS, nevermind to the 3DS, sad that we aren't seeing more new, original, great content.
It has to be to do with devs not wanting to take a chance on a system without a future, as in what happened to the DC, path littered with the wreckage of cancelled games and fired programmers.

Why are people calling it a dead system, it's potential is unreal as far as features go. I mean people think that 3D is a stupid idea, but I didn't buy it for the 3D.

Careful now, Mr. Saturn browses these forums..we wouldn't wanna give the impression that the 3DS is completely wasted. Lets just agree there's a great lineup, & 7 months isn't anywhere near enough time to get more than a few decent games out ok?

The 3DS is anything but dead...the lack of a steady flow of brand new games just makes it 'feel' dead. I'm sure Ciderman will back me up here, but as launch day owners, it is getting a bit long in the tooth waiting for another release...& what do we get? Another N64 game :) Whats the hold up with new 1st party titles?

Who needs all that hassle of bonding with a new character from a new title that cost ninty a fortune to develop when they could just knock out a redux of Jet Force Gemini (actually that would be awesome), slap Mario's face onto a cutesy Air Traffic Control simulation or bury the hatchet with Microsoft to deliver us Master Chief's Pro Bowling Challenge Extreme?

They're being really lazy with the 3DS from what I can see, which is disheartening. After the GC I told myself I wouldn't be fooled again, but like a beaten wife I took them back when they knocked at my door with the Wii and now the cycle continues with the 3DS. No, this time they've changed. This time things will be better! They have to be.

I never said that it had anything going for at the moment, more that anyone buying a console at launch is a bit of a mug that needs to read up on the majority of console launches to realize, especially in 2011, that it's a long wait 'til killer-app time.

Heh, I'm in the same boat myself. All I can say at the moment is the visual overhaul and 3D look brilliant.

It's kinda strange seeing bump mapping on a game that came out when it didn't exist but it's all the better for it.

As I read in a review lately on it (can't remember where), it's the game you remember but not the actual same one in reality.

Played about five or six of the multiplayer games (with bots; haven't played against a human yet) and I'm liking the new powerups. The "swap places" one is particularly fun :)

Finished the main game once in N64 mode and once in 3DS mode and think 3DS mode is deffo easier.

I've only played through 3DS mode at the moment and it did seem a lot easier than the original. Didn't lose a ship for the whole thing and that was without breaking any kind of sweat.

The 3D effect really does look great on the final stage flying through those long corridors. Got a few wows out of me :)

Haven't played multiplayer yet either but I tell you what, after seeing the quality of this one I'm even more miffed now that it doesn't go online!
