I've just been given one of these and forgive my ignorance:o, but can I use this to store my photos on?
If so is there somewhere I can get a usb cable for it, there doesn't seem to be one in the box - probably why they were giving it away:D
    thanks

You'll need to identify the type of USB socket on it, see this wiki picture: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Types-usb_new.svg

It's often a type B on external drives. Presumably it has a remote and maybe some cables to connect to a TV ?

Any computer shop should have a suitable lead, also some broadband modems have USB as an alternative connection to a PC, maybe a friend has one lying around in a drawer ?
