Correct, that is why they don't mention "free" TV in the ad.

Yes but their ad says buy the room get the tv that's not quite true it should say buy the room and pay extra for the tv. They do give the impression that the tv is free

At no point in the ad do they say get a TV for free, nor do they say you have to pay for a TV.

People assume, wrongly, that the TV is free

Just like the 'Get an iPad' promo of a few months back

Wasn't the problem that the TV isn't free but IS include in the price?
Like if you say you don't want the TV the price drops accordingly?

    Firstly, price INCLUDES vat.
Secondly, about €600 of the price applies to the tv.
Thirdly, cost plus products are basic enough quality. - don't expect anything spectacular. They aren't the worst on the market but you simply get what you pay for and nothing more.

The TV's bought from DID and at cost price and sold off at cost price in these tv packages. With almost all packages you get the €700 tv for about 350ish.

Whatever value the telly has that's what you pay. They are not a charity
