DOG FOOD ALLOWANCE

    Does anyody know if there is an allowance availale for DOG FOOD and where can i locate info, its not on welfare.ie!

    just ask at the SWO hatch for pet allowance think its about 7 euro per week

    I believe you have to be a non national resident to qualify for the pet food payment. If you check oasis.gov.ie it'll be in the same section as the hair care allowance. It's only €5 per week, not €7 as stated above.

    sorry i forgot to say i have 2 dogs its an extra 2euro for the second dog and i'm bald cant get the hair care allowance

    If Bertie can claim 43k in allowance my Labrador is surley entitled to a miserable FIVER after I gave them 26 years in income tax:)

    If you are blind and maintaining a trained guide dog, you can claim tax relief, but that's it.

    I heard about it before but its bull, When my neighbour heard about it he went and knocked on the guy below him and asked could he claim his two cats and four kittens as his own so he could get the Pet Allowance, The guy laughed in his face.

    This rumor is total bull and used to discredit SW recipients in certain circles.
    There is help for owners of guide dogs- but that is understandable.
