Hey guys, lucky enough to have a few quid for a new acoustic.

Looking at between €800-€1,000 roughly, could go just a tad bit more and take some heat form the wife but could do it.

At the moment Im looking at Taylors mostly but would love to start at the 300-400 series range, Martins I dont know too much about and should research some more.

I currently have a Tangelwood TD8 II Id probably sell on once I buy a new guitar. Guitar hasnt really ever sat right with me, the dread feels more of a super dread size and a little too much boom and tone.

Looking something easier/softer to play but a little bang when needs be. Tried some Taylors and Martins in X Music which feel so much nicer to play. Anyway would love to know if anyone has any recommendations on the types of taylor/martin in my price range or perhaps another type of guiar altogether (or even if theres value to be had outside of xmusic.

Thanks guys (I may be picking a taylor/martin today so would love some feedback).

So went up, didnt purchase anything.

Tried Martin DM and Taylor 110, they were fine guitars but i feel i need the cut away.

I got stuck with a decision between the taylor 114ce and a Craftine CD22EQ. Craftine sounded so nice at 550e compared to 955e Taylor. Both guitars sounded a tad different with more brightness in the Taylor, playability of the neck and body were so nice in both.

ugh decision decisions. anyone have any experiences with both.

i would ignore brands. namely martin. theyre models under a thousand are fine, but there are much better ones, built with wood, and not composites, to be had for the same price.

if it sounds as nice, and is €400 cheaper, id say you found a keeper ;)
