They are a fantastic car but you'll need to give more info - price, year spec etc. The difference between an 07 and 08 is very significant in the tax.

    Any further info OP?

Fantastic car. Much as I would shy away from Main dealers and their prices, I dont think I would buy a 335d anywhere else. A 2 year manufacturer warranty on a modern diesel bi turbo bmw is very worthwhile and worth a few thousand euro.

Used - thats what the bmw main dealers are offering now, no doubt as a result of customer fears over reliability/repair costs

Could he afford to service it?

That'll be our biggest problem in a few years with 07-10 cars that people bought and couldn't afford to service.

I accidentally clicked on Lifehacking instead of motors and went for a nosey and it was in a picture in one of the threads! :) Lots of truth in it

the 335d and to a lesser extent the 330 cd.

are they really expensive to service.? I am sheepishly thinking of getting a 330cd in the uk, screw the accord.

    To service no.
A 330cd would have less to go wrong than a 335 too. You'd be unlucky to buy a 330cd and regret it running cost wise.

the 330cd in E46 form falls under the valueline service in BMW dealers and the prices are hard to beet, even using indy's.

E92 are a bit more expensive to service in the BMW network, but as long as you use the correct item and oil, then an good indy is a good alternative once its out of warranty.

sure is, i was looking at one in Jan 2010.
    2008 325d E92 Coupe.
19" 225M wheels (same as that grey one)
    full leather
    heated seats
    bluetooth
    USB
    iDrive / Sat Nav
then all the usual MSport its and pieces...

And it was 35k IIRC
Whats VRT like on it? (if somebody has checked it already, im not really in the humour of checking ROS :()
