Do you wipe your a*s with peoples opinions on here?

Thats not said with a pig headed attitude and of course to not have that attitude with everyone. But do you dismiss (wipe your a*s) with other peoples opinions?

I mean, take a look at the relationship forums on here for example. Some of the advice regular posters give is a joke. Say a guy has suspicions and checks his girlfriends phone and finds shes cheating. Most get back to run down the OP saying how 'terrible' that was of him, 'you shouldnt even been in a relationship!' to pretty much saying 'no wonder she cheated on you!' totally disregarding the cheating part. Like yes, its wrong to snoop. But whats worse?

Or even in After Hours some can be seen as having naive, unrealistic and stupid views. But I think its all just the bull**** of life. People saying one thing, but would really do/mean the opposite. Weather it be out of Political Correctness or just hypocrissy. To make an example with AH, The whole tax fraud debates that pop up now and again. To begrude some guy getting a nixer saying its absolutely wrong. While same person would have no issue buying knocked off goods.

So the question of the thread :) Do you wipe your a*s with peoples opinions?

Opinions are like arse holes, everyone has one.

    I prefer Andrex.

Only when the person is completely unwilling to see beyond themselves. I can be fairly opinionated, but I'm at least willing to look over the other side of the fence.

Yeah, as the swear filter means the language isn't too rough on my arse.

But seriously I'm pretty lenient. I might disagree with someone but if they make their opinion in a reasonable way I'll respond in kind.

But if people make their point in an aggressive, obnoxious way, and I don't agree with their point, I'll get a bit riled up, but I'd try not to stoop to their level.

If the opinion lazily thrown together with no afterthought or research, then yes, I would.

But if some thought and research has gone into it, then no - never, no matter how much I disagree with it.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    GTFO!
Not to sound like i am on a rant. But thats what i absolute hate on here
the whole "you first" thing. Re-read my post. Blind man could see my stance.

No one is asking you to post in this thread. You either want to or dont want to. To ask someone "oh oh oh whats your view, first?" is rude. its like you talking to someone about a bit of news you read in the paper (just quoting it) and someone suddenly replies "you tell me what you think first!" ... its a topic. A discussion.

But back to the thread. Guess I got some toilet paper with your name on it ;)

There are a handful of posters whose posts I always want to read when glancing over a thread. There are some really excellent posters in the politics & Irish Economy forums, for example; even though I may tend to disagree with them, their arguments are usually worth reading.

On more than a few occasions, I've changed my mind on certain matters after reading arguments contrary to my own, and that's probably one of the best things about this site.

And of course almost everything in the cuckoo's nest is worth reading, that forum should be on the national curriculum.
