Any ideas for on-line streaming? Have to go to Paris otherwise from the house.

    Can't miss this.

The following solution worked for myself and my brother who is abroad, for a couple of games last year. It is only if you can't get a stream on match day, but I set up my laptop cam pointing directly at a TV and connected to him via Skype, he said the quality was surprisingly good.

The only problem was that he siad he could hear me cursing and screaming.:o

Aren't RTE streaming both finals worldwide without IP restrictions?

Given TV3 have the rights to the minor final I doubt it! Any truth about RTE doing that for the senior though?

And about the minor - is there going to be much chance of finding a good stream of it and if not what other options would people recommend to see both?

    Nope.

Rte has island of Ireland rights.

Setantas successor with a funny name has all other jurisdictions.
Last year eurosport 2 had it on the continent but that doesn't seem to be happening this year unfortunately.

And in the meantime the whole world outside of Irish pubs or subscription streaming has no clue that these great finals are happening nor will ever see gaa games action on tv, highlights or live coverage

A parallel thread asks why the gaa does not promote it's game to tourists.

Maybe another question is why gaa matches are not on tv screens across the world promoting our games to the wider world?

A more immediate question is how we can keep up with the action ourselves while aboard!

Rte radio commentary is available worldwide unblocked.
They are making a big fuss about it that it's their contribution to the Irish diaspora. It's in their charter that they have to do such things.

The Sunday game is then available online worldwide from wednesday onward.

if you want to pay then proxys and vpns can avoid geoblocking BUT for high demand games the RTE servers cant cope with the demand.
I had a horible experience for the Ireland france playoff game with proxys and will never rely on them for a big match again.

I have a slingbox attached to an aerial in ireland so have my own legal personal tv signal from Ireland that doesnt suffer congestion (but isnt brilliant at the same time thanks to eircoms shíte DSL upload rates)

Setanta is offering streaming outsie ireland for 20dollars pay per view which is a joke, but should be a good reliable stream and amongst a house of lads abroad isnt that dear to be guaranteed the game.

EDIT: this is a sling box that can be connected to a UPC / skybox

this one has an internal decoder that should do for saorview (rte digital over the aerial)

Not sure if delivery by sunday to Ireland would be possible though
