Yeah its been going a month or so.

SKY have threatened to stop doing PPV so this is FWs back-up plan.

Actually I think the Smith-Selby fight is going to be on it, or some show at least.

In the mean time I am enjoying the old bills.

Tuned this in earlier on the free to air box. Some cracking fights on it. Showed the maccarinelli v frenkel fight from last year. Poor macca nearly got decapitated

Box Nation will be free to air for the first few months. They'll be showing the quarter finals, semi finals and finals of the Amateur World Championships live from Baku starting October 5th.

On October 15th they're showing, live and free, Nathan Cleverly V Tony Bellew, Piotr Wilczeski V James DeGale and Bernard Hopkins V Chad Dawson.

This could go disaterously wrong for Warren. People are getting fed up of forking out ppv dosh for poor cards. I bet Eddie Hearn/Matchroom is licking his lips. He was already catching up to Warren as Britains No. 1 promoter.

I'd see how it pans out before going subscribing.

It's free for the first few months (according to Warren) and then will be €10/month. No date as to when it goes subscription though.

Agree with Magma and its not like Warren has megafights every month which could go ppv. If you think of the title holders he has in his stable it's actually only a rematch between Groves & DeGale which cud sell but that won't happen for at least another year.

Ricky Burns is big in Scotland, not sure about Nathan Cleverly but his fight with Bellew will prob during the free period.

They'll prob pick up some of the HBO or Showtime cards aswell. Would he get Khan's fights on the channel cos he sells in the UK?

at the moment im guessing its just Warren and Sauerland promotions that have signed up right?

if they get Golden Boy i wouldnt bother, but if they get Top Rank and Di Bella promotions then they could be onto a winner.

id hazard a guess at Top Rank being the "make or break" for the channel

UPC is just pure sh!te, getting sick of it, no option of Primetime on it and i wouldn't hold my breath they'll get this as well. Lost a heap of other channels as well.

very expensive for a channel maybe showing 1 or 2 live events a week and repeats all week then. i think ESPN is only 8 euro a month and they show live boxing baseball football and american football and showes programes all day long not just from 6 pm til 12pm!!

Hi Guys,

this new box nation station is pretty cool. Though I may be the bearer of bad news as I heard a rumour from a reliable source that by the time of the Margaritto v Cotto rematch in December, it will be gone pay per view. Its a case of Frank Warren dangling a carrott to entice fans to buy into it before hitting us with a charge to see the big fights. Please god its only a rumour.

how would people feel if its a one off payment a year say 10or 15 euro and you got live fights on a friday which is happenin n a few from the states which is happening but the rest is just a repeat all week. what if they started to show repeats of documentries or training techniques or build ups like say they do on the 24-7 type thing?
