Just watched this on tg4 earlier this evening and what a breath of fresh air , put mens Championship this year to shame, high scoring 2 12 to 4 15 free flowing uncynical skillful played in great spirit and a number of fantastic displays and in the balance until roughly 10 minutes from time . The Gaa would do worse than watch and learn from the ladies especially regarding the clock .

Congratulations to both teams on a game of football as it was meant to be played . The Ladies games in general deserve more coverage and support there is great work been done underage and a huge number of girls participating.

agree with you the amount of work been done with under age girls team is brillant to see and the senior game is great to watch but with respect the mans game is much better you need the physical aspect of the game too but the mens could learn from the womans game espcially with the time keeping and sin bin for a cynical foul!

Ah yeah the physicality is less but in general lately all the physicality in the mens game seems to either cause a controversy or endless stoppages for frees injuries etc that said it does add an edge

I must say I've been following the ladies football for a fair few years now and have seen some truly fantastically enjoyable games - Cork to win a savage final!!!

Jeez i dunno that Monaghan forward line is lethal , has the makings of a savage game though

The physicality has caused the skill level to drop in the mens game though - time after time I've seen intercounty players soloing the ball and the ball coming up to head height whereas the girls seem that bit more skilful - they have to be because the physicality is not there to win the ball

I'd love to see the hooter system in place in the mens game, would cut out the timewasting a lot imo. Other semi final between Cork and Dublin was a fantastic game as well!

It will be one hell of a game though!! :D Both sides met in 2008 in the final, Cork won comfortably enough but it will be a tough game. Delighted for the Cork girls to be back in the final, after five wins in a row, and that disaster last year against Tyrone when two of the girls suffered cruciate injuries in the same game.
