As much detail about the car as possible. Service history, current condition, engine size, mileage, number of owners, standard equipment, number of doors, Tax/NCT expiry dates, etc.

Year, make, model, engine size, asking price.

Make sure to have a good quality camera, not a camera phone. Make sure the car is clean inside and out, get a mini valet if necessary. Park the car in a nice location with a nice background, not the front drive of a house, shopping centre car park or appartment underground car park. Don't take photos at night. Get full shots of the front, back and sides of the outside of the car, take photos of the inside of the car also. If the car has a service history then put the documents on a table along with the NCT cert and take a photo of them. Limit the number of photos to 7 or 8, anymore and it just becomes cluttered.

Nothing worse than a half hearted effort of an advert, it gives the wrong impression of the owner doesn't really care which will tell a potential buyer that they may not have looked after a car. The advert is very important as it's the first impression that a buyer will get and in most cases determin whether they come to view the car or not. Once they come to view it then it is up to you then to sell it.

    Best of luck.
