iOS Safari page refresh on window swap

Is it just me or when you open new pages on Safari on iOS, and then flip back to a previous page - that old page refreshes? If it's part of the system, I presume there's no way around this?

Mind you, that doesn't always happen, and sometimes it looks like the page is refreshing, but in fact it's just loading the old page. :/

Yeah it's very annoying. Less of a problem on the iPhone 4/iPad 2 thanks to the extra memory.

Some of the third party browsers have better memory management. Atomic browser for example. iCab used to have as well but not anymore. Latest version is just as bad as Safari for reloading tabs.

Didn't realise it would be a memory thing, I'll try not having so many windows open then! It's happening on the ipad2 quite a bit.

Really? I thought the iPad 2 was supposed to be much better for this. My iPad 1 can barely remember 2 tabs.

I'll need to do some testing, I've quit all apps and have just boards and Facebook open and I'm not getting the refresh, so I'll keep an eye out. Ta
