    Hello all

I have a bone to pick with itunes..

Songs i uploaded directly from cd are appearing as missing, you know when you click on it and a little exclamation mark appears.
This shouldn't happen as i uploaded it directly from cd. It's happened a few times and other times i assumed the tracks might have gone missing if i downloaded them or got them through a usb from someone else or something, but this time I know i uploaded it from CD directly INTO itunes.

What is wrong with this piece of **** media player now?

    Thanks

    Tim

How did you upload from the cd initially?

Imported it into itunes, the usual procedure

Can you right click or get info on the track to see where it thinks it's located?

Sounds like the music folder location has been changed.

But how? I don't know what happens really. I put in the cd and itunes automatically imports it, and i proceed to listen to the songs on itunes. I know that if you take files off someone else you have to store them in a folder so itunes can find them but where do the files go when uploaded directly from a cd?
    Thanks for replies.

When itunes rips the songs from cd it put them in a folder(as mentioned above, right click on the song and click get info and see where itunes is storing them) Sounds like either the folder/file has been changed, renamed, corrupt(possibly from a virus/virus scanner)
