Don't Know Where I'm Headed

    Hi all,

I'm a 22 year old who has a law degree. Even before I finished my degree I knew I didn't really want to pursue a career in law (barrister/solicitor) but was unsure of what else I could go into.

I then started to think about primary teaching. I applied for it in Ireland and was offered a place but couldn't take it up as my final year results weren't out before the beginning of the course (Feb). Ever since then I've been kind of confused as I don't know whether to pursue another career or wait until Feb to apply for teaching again.

I've been having second thoughts about whether I'm cut out to be a teacher, whether I really want it and am getting more and more confused.

I live at home with my parents and they are constantly talking to me about jobs/careers and the whole situation is starting to wear me down.

I'm working at the moment but it's not something I see myself doing long term.I just feel like I'm floating aimlessly through life.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I understand how you feel. I'm 23, have a degree and a masters and no idea what I want to do. I'm working in a job that makes me miserable simply because it's not what I thought I'd be doing and I'm pretty much over-qualified to do it.

While I'm not sure what kind of advice I can offer you, I think its always nice to know you're not alone. And you definately aren't. You are young, you still have time to decide what you want to do. Feel free to PM if you like.
