I am looking to do my theory test as soon as possible and just got the most recent book and cd(fourth edition). On the cd there is only 40 questions tho for the test. I thought the actual theory test had increased to 80 questions. Just wondering what is the amount of questions and any tips or that would be appreciated too

    Thanks :)

Read the book and do the exam,it's not one bit hard at all.

It's only 40 questions, not 80, you need 35 correct to pass.

If you go through the questions on the cd a few times you will be fine - the actual theory test is EXACTLY like this - questions are often reproduced in the test word-for-word.

There's a Learning to Drive forum which is excellent for queries like this!

I'd say not often but always.

I've passed mine yesterday, and didn't find any question which I wouldn't see before, or any that would be written in any other form.

Hi everyone, I think i will book my theory test soon, i've studied the cd and book and i used to get around 7 wrong, im at the stage now where it says i get around 3 to 5 wrong which will get me through to a pass. Sometimes i do it twice in a row and it says i pass on both trys. I'm afraid i'll go and get some tricky questions and i'll fail, i cant afford to be paying the fee too often. Does anyone know who's done the theory test recently, what's the ones that could trip me up :) Thanks.
