Unfortunately, with a full time job and the madhouse that is my workplace, i haven't found time to ring the exams office to get the advice i need. if any1 could help i'd really appreciate it.

I'm going to make the bold move of repeating my final year because i wasn't happy coming out of college with a "drinkers" 2:2, albeit i didn't do much drinking. So I was wondering whether i should repeat externally or internally? I'm leaning towards externally so i wouldn't have to part with five thousand large ones. My main concern is having to repeat all of my modules, so can anyone tell me do i have to repeat all of my modules or can i keep the good grades i got in some?..i'd REALLY like to keep the 1st i got in my thesis. Note that i'm giving up a job to do this so i really want to nail it this time and doing it externally won't mean slacking off. Any opinions welcome?

My advice is to go and have a chat with the guys in academic advisory. They are unbelievably helpful, and will go through all the options you have with regard repeating.

Regards repeating externally and internally, there isn't really a huge difference. A girl I know repeated English externally and she went to the lectures same as everyone else. I repeated internally, but that was purely because I didn't have to pay the fees :P Repeating externally is probably your best option. There really isn't that much of a difference, apart from a few thousand euro :D

But seriously, get in touch with academic advisory :)

you may not actually be able to repeat externally, you can't repeat any music modules for example(as far as I know) externally.

If the material is the same and theres notes on moodle I suppose external wouldnt be that bad, perhaps check the module guides to see if there is any change in the modules you done.
