    I have heard a lot about it, appearently it has loads of posts and much downloadable media. (legal, of course)

    (Mods, pls don't move this. I am only looking for a very general view of what usenet is, not a technical explanation.)

    Yes, I do possess google, but I have searched and not found a answer to satisfy what I was looking for. That is why I looked for an answer from a human on here.
