Right im new to trading. I set myself a bankroll of 2k GBP to trade with.

So far ive been making ok decisions with regards to the stocks to buy but making terrible decisions with the time to sell.

Whether it be holding onto a stock for too long and hoping that it will recover that 5% that it dropped in the past 30 minutes and a few hours later rather than 5% its 15%.

or its over reacting to a small twitch in the share price and selling too early.

Should i be setting myself a fixed % target for each investment and sell if it reaches that point regardless?

EDIT: I should mention im interested in short term risky stocks over long term stable stocks.
