Multiple Macs - iTunes & iPhone Sync

I posted a while ago about looking into purchasing a Macbook air to compliment my Macbook Pro that I currently own. I have settled on the 13" and I should be ordering it soon. Until then though, I thought I might look into researching the different problems that I may encounter.

Currently my Macbook Pro syncs with my iPhone, and so my iTunes library is on it. When I get my Macbook Air I would like to be able to sync my iPhone with that also, so that I would have all my music on both machines, while having the ability to sync each machine with the iPhone without having any conflict.

I've looked on Google, but a great deal of the articles are for older versions of iTunes, and I dont want to take that risk. Has anyone on this forum ever had to do this, and if so, what were the steps you took?

There are solutions for this, but your best bet is to wait for iCloud. It will make this a whole lot easier as it will automatically sync everything across multiple devices/computers.

I'm already using ios5 & iCloud. iTunes Match wont be available on launch in Ireland, and it still doesnt solve the problem when you connect the iPhone to the Mac, and it asks you to delete everything.

You can just tell iTunes on one of the computers to manually manage music and videos and turn off syncing for everything else.
