Music makers - you may or may not be aware that FXpansion is launching a global deal on BFD-Eco this month. I haven't seen the pricing for Europe appearing yet but I managed to buy an electronic download serial license from audiomidi in the States this week for ...€29!!
Almost a no-brainer. Gives you a good upgrade path to BFD2 (soon to be BFD 3 by the looks of it). Best to load it on an external drive since it streams from disk - I have had a bit of note choking and noise due to using it off of the system drive but.. it sounds pretty good.
I have had EZdrummer, Superior 2.0, Battery and (currently) Addictive Drums (which I am really enjoying) but I bought this because it was so cheap. I wouldn't prefer it overr AD but it does bring an additional dimension to the drum palette. Great range of presets to get you going + fx busses, kit part switching, variable hihat control.
I have used it on a dual core XPS 1330 laptop with 4 gb ram with the internal soundcard + ASIO4ALL, and with a Tascam US1641 and both sound great for my purposes. YMMV
Installation and authorisation are painless. Audiomidi is very good to deal with too. Enjoy!
