Doubt you'll find one in an Irish retailer (for good reason). If you're dead set on one your best bet is online.

yeah, i was thinking thatwould be the case alright, for the same reason you are thinking no doubt.
i want it to be at a joule at the max setting, so i can turn it way down when im not on site so that if god forbid it gets seixed at any point, it will be nowher near a joule during testing.

is it against the rules for me to requesta PM from a retailer that might have this in stock or that can order it?

It shouldnt be against the rules, it doesn't make an AEG necessarily fire hot (same as an M150 spring :))

In saying that though there's really no point in chasing the mythical 1J limit, anything really around 300fps (with a .2g bb) will have the same range regardless ;)

ah i didnt mean i was hunting for the J, i just meant my upper limit on the vvd would be within the legal limit, and i'd use it as an extra safety if that makes sense.

by againstthe rules, i meant as regards the retailers voicing up to say they have what i want. i dont know how that fits into boards rules these days as i'm posting outside the retailers specific thread.

it would not be possible to limit the vvd to a joule because the exact setting needed to obtain joule on the vvd would vary from device to device

oh i know. and i would be swapping out the parts to make it so that it is.
i know the vvd doesnt determine the power. just restricts the full potential.

like a mechanical speed limiter in vans.
