Passed this morning. Jesus, some car park. But not one car parked in it!

Has the situation at Cheeverstown P&R changed any since the above was posted a few months ago? What's it like at 9am?

The last few times I've been arriving in Dublin (via the M7) at 9am-ish the traffic has been backed up to around the Green Isle Hotel. It strikes me that it would be better for me to head to Cheeverstown in future instead of the Red Cow P&R?

How long does it take the Luas to travel from Cheeverstown to the Red Cow? And how regular are trams in Cheeverstown?

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

Thanks MYOB. Could you expand on that AlekSmart - I'm seeing some negative stuff in other threads regarding security on the Luas and P&R around this area. Although they're fairly old threads. A thing of the past? Safe to leave my car there until late evening?

Cheeverstown will come into its own once the works at Newland's Cross start.

It is in the absolute middle of nowhere. There's a lot of passing traffic on the ORR but they won't be looking at the carpark. There's very little on Citywest Avenue Extension.

I work in Citywest but I've never been past there later than 6, so I dunno how dark/abandoned it can get. Park under a light anyway.

Parked there on Friday night for the snowpatrol concert after driving up from Limerick! I think there was maybe 8 cars max in it when we arrived and none when we were leaving! It's very handy but after the gig in the o2 all the luas trams were going to tallaght, none to saggart, so myself and herself had to get off in Belgard and walk 20 minutes in the rain with no real idea where we were going, which of course was my fault :p

Are you sure there wasn't a connecting tram from Belgard to Saggart?
