    Hi To All,

Bought a house second hand approx 12 years ago.

Currently renovating bathroom & moving from a gravity fed system to Pumped - just for showers only.

We currently have 3 showers - two upstairs that really never worked - the problem is while there is a small pump on them at present - you get scalded or frozen!

Plumber has informed that we need a quality negative head pump downstairs in the hot press.

While now putting in new downstairs bathroom we would like to address the existing problem as well.

WE have been informed to look for a 3 bar pressure negative head pump.

However there are many makes out there Grundfos, Triton, Salamander etc etc

This pump will be going in the hotpress which is in the kitchen so noise is also important to us.

Gan any of you Guys recommend a good reliable quiet brand?

    Many Thanks

    Tanka

I bought a Salamander online from a UK trader at €150 less than any Irish supplier could do it. It was recommended by my plumber as being the only make to consider. Grundfos are recent enough on the market, and have a great rep. for quality circulation pumps - so they might be worth a punt too.

I know a lad specialises in these sysyems and for what its worth he has a Heliotherm GSHP installed in his property.
I personally would not know which is best, as any these systems i have cotracted/installed had The pump make and model in the specifications of the fitting. However I would recommend you put a post in the engineering thread. you may find an engineer specialing in this field and would have a better insight.
