I'm too far away but if you're in a club would there be interest in putting on a race there?

Already tried that but was unable to get permission from the curragh camp.

    Hi Kidd147

I don't have a cyclocross bike and am usually out on the road bike but do use the curragh on the mtb with a pal of mine for a change now and then when I don't have the time to travel to Wicklow.

I'm also in Newbridge, give me a shout if that suits ye.

Theres what looks like a moto x circuit across from donnellys hollow at the Curragh, does anyone else use that on a bicycle? I tried it a few weeks ago but my tyres werent ideal(and id no helmet), was great fun tho.

Those tracks accross from DH are the hills used by the army to train the 4x4 drivers. They are great crack on the bike, they may be short but provide good climbing practice.

There are also good areas further out into the Curragh. Take the road from that junction at Donnollys Hollow out past the golf course. After you pass the century's hut there are hills on both side of the road with plenty of trails.

Go and explore, you'll be suprised what you find !!!:)

Try talk to the Office of Public Works OPW for permission. the lands on the curragh outside the immediate camp area and rifle ranges are under the control of the OPW so might be worth a shot
