pregnant again!!will i get maternity benefit???

hi there
a bit of background!! i have been working for a company from december 2009 part time and love my job, i am recently on maternity leave from june 2011and returning on november the 1st 2011 and i have just discovered im pregnant again !!!! however shocked i am delighted!! when i return to wrk will i still be entitled to claim maternity benefit next august ???please help thanks any help welcomed!!!

I do not know but I had my two close together (less than 14 months apart) and I was fine.

Should be OK, you probably already have the necessary contributions (paid or credited) and just to check that your employer still has you on the books (i.e. that you class as an insurable employee prior to going off again).

All I can work out form the C I site is:

You are awarded MAternity Benefit based on you PRSI contributions.
(You got Maternity this time so must have enough)

THe level is based on the pay yo had in the year preceding your due date.(2011)

When your on Maternity, you are classed as making a basic PRSI contribution.

What I cant work out is, would a person in the same boat as the OP get the same rate that they got the first time, as the second time their pay fromt he previous your would be lower?
