I was just wondering if there's already a Juggling Club/Society in WIT, and if there is if it includes poi or if it's just juggling? If there's not one already a friend and I are thinking of setting one up.

I don't think WIT does as many minor, specialist clubs & societies as other colleges & bigger UNI's. Here's a general list I think it's like 2-3 Years old but I would imagine they haven't changed that drastically.

    Societies

    Architectural
    Business
    Construction Management
    Computer
    Corporate Administration
    Engineering
    Law
    Recreation Management
    Science
    Social Care
    Cultural
    Chinese Students
    Christian Uniion
    Food and Wine
    Irish Traditional Music
    LGB
    Literary
    WITless Gamers
    Labour Youth
    Ógra Fianna Fáil
    Ógra Fine Gael
    Sinn Féin
    The Green Party
    Young Progressive Democrat

    Clubs

    Outdoor & Field Sports
    Athletics
    Camogie
    Cycling
    Equestrian
    Gaelic Football - Ladies
    Gaelic Football - Men
    Golf
    Hurling
    Hockey
    Motor Sport
    Orienteering
    Rugby - Ladies
    Rugby - Men
    Skiing
    Soccer - Ladies
    Soccer - Men
    Softball
    Tennis
    Indoor Sports
    Badminton
    Basketball
    Boxing
    Pool
    Table Tennis
    Volleyball
    Martial Arts
    Judo
    Karate
    Water Sports
    Kayaking
    Rowing
    Sailing
    Surfing
    Swimming & Lifesaving

I'm fairly sure if there was enough demand and you put a lot of effort into creating a new society that it would be easy enough to create!

I'd say what I've edited is closer to the selection as of last April. Definitely missed a few but it could all change again in two weeks time.

I really hope that Pool &/or Snooker teams go ahead this year. Was quite annoying that they didn't even start it up last year.

I might look into setting one up so. Last year I didn't join any so I may get involved in something this year.

It's pretty damn tough to get them to supply you with the money to start one up. You need some good "market research" of sorts.

My room mate last year got a Hacking Society going (successful so far), but it took a SERIOUS amount of convincing to get any money.

Yeah, I wouldn't even really know where to start tbh. It seems like a lot of work but it'd be great if we could get something going.
