    Hi Guys,

Just a little advice please, i've been renting the last three years and lost my job a year ago so have been on jsa since.I am now entering college full time and need help with my rent, my question is, i pay right on the limit for my region (350 euro) but i live with two other people who make up the rest to a total of 1000 euro, i need to provide receipts but the only ones i can from the landlord would be for the 1000 euro, will they accept this if i explain?
    Any ideas?

    Thanks for reading

You could always ask your landlord to do a specific receipt stating how much you actually pay rather than the house rent as a whole. A CWO will call out to inspect the property and they usually ask to look everywhere, so you could try to explain you all rent the house as seperate entities, but they can be a bit funny about giving rent allowance to people to are only renting a room or part of a house.

Thanks for that, i was thinking the same, ill get on to the landlord so.
On your other point, i presumed you could apply two different ways i.e get on the council housing list or provide proof of renting 6 out of the last 12 months which i am doing the latter, i thought a cwo would only come to my house if i was been put on the council housing list? Its not a problem either way, can you or anyone clarify?
