I just bought a new laptop for the upcoming college year. Was just wondering does anybody know of any free programmes which could come in handy?

Check out DreamSpark. Its a Microsoft program that gives Students free software. Some of the stuff may or may not be useful to you depending on what your doing.

Also, Software4Students has some great deals. Not free, but very good value.

Have bought stuff off before and ya it was really good value. Was lucky enough this time to have Microsoft Office pre-installed on my laptop which was a super bargain. I'll check out that other one now. Thanks alot :)

Be sure to set up Microsoft OneNote. It should come with Office. Its by far the best way to take notes in class. It even syncs your notes to your online account, so you can get them anywhere.
