What are the rules here for cars/jeeps that are pre 1980 and 1979? I have heard the following: 1980 only E50 tax 1979 no NCT needed Is this correct? Thanks P

I've a 79 car and its nct exempt and €48 motor tax. I think pre 1980 is nct exempt, if the car is not already 30 years old it won't roll onto nct exemption.
Different for tax, once it hits 30 it should move to the lower tax rate.
