Don't know if this belongs here or in consumer issues but travelodge website don't seem to recognise irish visa debit cards. Even on the irish website I've made a few different bookings this year (cheaper rooms than taxi's for night out!) but it doesn't recognise my visa debit therefore each time you have to pay a €2 credit card fee. Its no biggie but just wondering if anyone else has the same problem? I booked today on UK site and as expected I had to use my credit card it wouldn't even take my pre paid Mastercard.

They only recognise UK debit cards as "debit cards" on the site. Otherwise everything else is processed as a credit card.
