Who told you & what do you mean by 'download' these channels?

various people i know have done the samething but when i store these channels in the 'add channels' section then go to the'other channels' section to view them there is nothing there only a message telling me to insert my viewing card, which has been inactive for 3 months now.Since my subscription has been suspended I am left with about 65 channels to view but not any regular channels as such as RTE 1or 2 or any ITV,BBC etc only BBC NI

This sticky at the top of the page gives a list of some channels you can add: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055520627

You won't be able to get RTE 1, RTE 2, UTV, BBC1 NI, etc.

    But you can get BBC 1, 2, 3, 4, ITV 1, 2 , 3 , 4 plus others.

If you find that you save the channels one day but they are not there the next day you may have an old Pace box. This has a known problem of not saving channels you add so you'll have to add them each day.

take your sky card out of your box, wait a few minutes

bbc1 london should be channel 101

you need a outdoor tv aerial to get the irish tv channels or saorview www.saorview.ie

The take out the card trick won't work with HD boxes anymore-they are stuck with the Irish EPG,it seems like the op has parental control still active on the box thus stopping him from watching 'other channels'.He might be able to turn off the parental control with the expired card in the box.
