I am moving to Dublin at the end of the month and I will be working in the Castleknock area. Can anyone recommend areas/estates/apartments etc where I should consider living?

Also if you have any 'steer clear of' areas I would appreciate any advice.

Carpenterstown, Laurel Lodge, Riverwood.....all serviced by 37 bus and train on Maynooth line at Coolimine or Castleknock stations - decent enough locals for a pint and 5-10mins from Blanchardstown shopping centre by car.

    Totally depends on your budget.

If its on the high side Geogian Village

Joking aside, Laurel Lodge you really cant go wrong, Beside train station, tesco a walk away, Couple of nice bars (The 12th Lock) And very close to the phonix park.

Best of luck and welcome to Dublin 15

Any where along auburn ave is fine too, very handy for the M50, train, village, park etc...

Anywhere with 'Castleknock' in the address probably won't be an area that you'll need 'to steer clear of'. :D
