So I have a company setup for the last two months, and myself the my fellow director decided not to become VAT registered at the star because we had no accounting software.

So now that we have some business sales coming up in the future, I need to become VAT registered, so I have a good friend who was able to get me Sage Accounts 50 2010 at a very good price. I have all my products entered and it is ready to launch but the problem is if I send off the VAT registration form in the morning, when do I start charging VAT?

Also I only need to send a paper VAT return at the end of the year and the bi-monthly ones can be sent using ROS.
