    Hi
I plan on replacing all my radiator valves with thermostatic ones.
I have heard mixed reports about these.
Is there a decent brand that you could reccomend.

Also, I believe if I am draining the system, it's a good time to clean the system (ie run somehting through it).

Any advice would be welcome. (I am getting a plumber to do this work)
    Thanks
    Chris

MYSON TRV ARE A GOOD MAKE.I USE THEM ON A REGULAR BASIS.THE ONLY PROBLEM YOU WILL GET (IF ANY ) IS A FAULTY HEAD (EASILY FIXED).

WHEN DRAINING THE SYSTEM . WOULD BE A GOOD TIME TO CLEAN THE SYSTEM AND ADD AN INHIBITOR (FERNOX PROTECTOR) LOTS OF DIFFERENT MAKES OF INHIBITORS BUT MY PREFERENCE IS FERNOX (IT IS DEARER IN PRICE)

IF YOU HAVE NO STAT ON YOUR CYLINDER. SINCE YOUR GOING THRU THE EXPENSE OF TRV'S YOU MAY AS WELL PUT ONE ON YOUR CYLINDER TO CONTROL THE HOT WATER . PLENTY OF WAYS TO DO THIS WITH OR WITHOUT USING AN ELECTRICAN ASWELL AS A PLUMBER. NEED IDEAS.SEND ME A PM.

Take advice from your plumber as they will have their own opinion. The best make in my opinion would be Drayton but really it`s down to choice. Make sure that the valves are liquid filled and not wax and don`t put a TRV in the area where the room stat is. It is worth checking with the SEAI as there are grants available for system updates.

I've installed hundreds of the new danfoss TRV's ,haven't had a single callback to one. They're bulletproof.
