I am in desperate need of advice. Just checked my online banking to discover that the 19.99 a month has not been coming out of my account and I am being charged unpaid fees of 12.70 for the past 2 months. On closer inspection, it turns out my o2 broadband bill is E1100. My partner spoke to them as it is in his name and they said if we dont pay up, they will contact a debt collector. I am a computer dumbass and thought that you could watch videos on line instead of downloading. They also said that we have been sharing files but I dont even know how to do this. Help. Is there anyway out if this? When you sign up to pay a certain amount a month, do O2 not have a responsibility to let you know when your account goes above and beyond what you agreed?

    Worried and confused

You should post this on the Talk to O2 forum.

That's a sh1t situation.. I'm constantly having to watch my bband to make sure I havent gone over my limit... I think they are legally obliged to tell you when you are a certain amount over your package.. did they contact you by email or text to let you know? If they are saying that you were SHARING files, then I can only assume that you are using something like Bit Torrent or something similar for pulling down movies... (when you pull them down, they are then there for others to download)

No, there was no contact at all. If I hadnt checked my bank account yesterday I would not have known any better. So frustrated. They refuse to help.
