On the Arts course on Nuig it says that to enter Psychology in second year you have to pass all four subjects outright. Does that mean you can't repeat the tests to go into second year Psychology or you can't repeat the tests to go into second year at all. Thanks to anybody who could answer this!

If you fail an exam on the first sitting you cannot progress to psychology/psych studies even if you pass on the second sitting. You must pass every exam first time around.

For other subjects, if you fail an exam on the first sitting you must resit the exam and provided you pass the second time you can progress into second year.

Thanks Western Night. I know this must sound like a stupid question, but if I don't pass it firts time will I be able to do two different subjects in second year?

Different from the ones you did in first Arts, or different from psychology?

You'll be choosing two subjects from your other three subjects and taking them on into second year. You can't choose two completely different subjects, if that's what you're asking.

Brilliant Western Nights. Just wanted to make sure I could go on to second year without psychology if I had to.
