    Hi Guys,
I am owed nearly 300 dollars from my time in the states and I'm just wondering how I go about claiming it back.

    Thanks!

  • I'd be interested in this as well - I remember starting to do it once and needing some number or something that was difficult to find, so I gave up. Really could do with the money now, though!

You can either negotiate the labyrinth of IRS paperwork yourself or just get http://www.taxback.com/usa-tax-refund-j1.asp to do it for you. Yes, they take a cut for themselves but I still came away with just over 400 euro and considering there was no way I was doing all of the paperwork myself I think it's a good deal.

Cheers. Are they the only site that will do it for you ya? Have to see what percentage and stuff they take.
