that nagging feeling

    Hi

For months, I've had a "nagging feeling" on my upper left pre-molar. For lack of a better description. It's not pain, it's not a throbbing sensation, it's not burning. Nagging really is the most accurate I can find.
Every now and then, there is a small electric current feeling, not painful at all. I have no idea what causes it but I am very aware of it. It's not painful or even bothering me when I eat, doesn't react to sugary food. In fact, I can feel it most often after I've used mouthwash

I went to my dentist, she couldn't see a thing. She had taken an Xray a few months before and didn't advise to have another one now. There is a very large feeling (from having cracked my tooth) on the adjacent molar, she suggested the tooth could be diying but it's not this tooth that bothers me but the one before. I tried the "tap tap" test using a metal spoon, no pain at all.

Additionally: my gums are quite bad (I've had numerous treatments, including graft) but it's different from usual gum tenderness. And I clench my jaws hard (and apparently grind them at night) so I wonder if this could be related?

    Anyone ever experienced this before?

    Thanks
