Can I cancel my college/grant application?

I was offered a place into a college and accepted, but I've been terribly confused over the past few weeks and put off taking it because I was really unsure of whether I wanted it or not. Now that I've accepted I'm starting to regret it already. I feel I could have done a lot better results wise for the Leaving, and as well as that I still haven't actually figured out what career I'm aiming for after school.

My main worry at the moment is that I've already sent in my VEC grant application. Can I cancel the processing of my application at this point? And if I do does that mean I won't get any financial aid in the future?

Furthermore even if I were to repeat 6th year are there any secondary schools that would accept me on such short notice?

Any help or advice would be appreciated, I'm really at a loss for what to do.

Well the truth is if you have enough points to get into most courses that appeal to you,you don't need to repeat the leaving cert. You only need to go back to secondary if you genuinely can't find any course you like that fits your points or if you feel very upset with your results. If it's genuinely too late to go back on your choice, you could give the course a go but you should probably do some research and find out about any helplines that are available.
