No. Every County Council and VEC are different and have different staffing levels, differing numbers of applicants etc etc Some people have already been approved and notified. Some county councils could be really inefficient and tell you in 6 months time.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

In 6 months time, OMG. How am I supposed to survive financially? I'll have to look for a job straight away. Is it hard to get a student job in Dublin?

Apply anywhere and everywhere. I would recommend the supermarkets esp Tesco. All employers know students are coming so get going quick If you want to find something. It may not be great but if you are willing to do anything I'm sure you will find something. Best of luck!

you should try mcdonalds! almost everyone who work there are students as you can tell them what hours you can work, what suits you the best and they will do that. ;)
