    Jaaaaysus!

talk about marketing the opposite of reality. The thing is entirely on tarmac. It's the opposite of extreme. It's tame tame tame. Cycling and running on roads doesn't really count as adventure sports! The limits you're likely to push are the ones of your boredom threshold and frustration (the frustration being that you'll be looking at a fantastic location for adventure sports, but using roads to wander past it).

I've no doubt that Inishowen wouldn't dissapoint. I've no doubt that this event would, for anyone looking for adventure.

Why go through all that alone – Feel better by involving our nominated Charities.

Another event wearing the Irrefutable Cloak of Beneficence, using "charity" as an advertising hook, while donating 0% themselves. When did this become the norm?

Well it's not all actually on Tarmac.. The last 2 mile of the run is on sand at pollen beach and the 4 mile mountain trek is just that .. A trek up a mountain with no path - but granted the majority of the course is on roads. It's still extreme to me! Can,t wait,

If it's extreme to you then you need to get out more... an awful lot more. For example, here is a full calendar of events which by definition are much more extreme than yours (100% off-road), as well as being substancially better value for money. Incidently, all races in that calendar identified as being charity races donate 100% of their races fees to the designated charities. No leeching charities there.

Your marketing is frankly laughable. I just hope you don't get too many people turning up expecting an interesting race. Money is more scarce these days and I'd hate to see people wasting it on an event where the marketing has such a gigantic disconnect from reality. You'll deserve all the complaints that come your way.

Enduro...If your sneering attitude and condescending comments, which I come across time and time again on these forums, are a result of participating in 'extreme' adventure sports then frankly I think we would all be wise to give them a wide berth.

My "attitude" is a result of not liking commercial races trying to rip people off by advertising themselves as something which they are not. You don't even have to venture beyond Donegal to find more genuinely extreme races which manage perfectly well without the false advertising that this particular race is indulging in.
