Possible to create a virtual USB drive?

I'm looking to find out if its possible to set up a virtual USB drive on my laptop? The main purpose is that I have DJ equipment which can read USB devices such as sticks or hard drives. The problem is that when there are too many files on the memory device, scrolling on the CDJ is quite tedious and time consuming to find the song I want to use and therefore have to keep removing it and bringing it too the laptop and transferring and plugging it back in then.

What I am asking is that is it possible to set up a "middle man" folder on my laptop with a program so as the CDJ would see this folder on my laptop as a memory device if connected to my laptop via USB cable? My laptop would configure this folder to show as a memory device and the CDJ could take from it. I would therefore be able to dump music files into the folders as required or remove. Better yet if I could set up two folders with two USB connections, one for each CD deck.

Sorry if I explained it wrong but I thought it might be an interesting one.

    Thanks

Would a virtual CD drive do the same thing ?

Would a simple shorcut on the desktop to the USB device not achieve what you need?

I don't think so because it would still require me to disconnect the memory stick from the CD player and to connect it to the laptop which is what I want to avoid. The CD player also will only read USB memory devices so if I connect it directly to the laptop it wont be able to read it.

I dont think the virtual cd drive will work either as I need the CD player to think that its connected to a USB stick when it is in fact connected to my laptop and linked to a folder or virtual drive.

I wonder would networking a hard drive work? I could connect the two CDJ players to a network hub with a hard drive and have the laptop connected via USB also. Any thoughts?
