I have an out of date postal order (older than the six months it's valid for).

Does anyone know if An Post will refund it? Has anyone ever been successful in doing so?

It's an awful long time ago but I seem to remember that they will redeem an expired postal order if the holder pays the original poundage i.e. they levy the original charge again on the redeemer.

So the way I remember it is that if the person who bought the PO paid 10.50 for a ten euro PO, the person attempting to redeem it after it expired could do so by paying 50c.
