Why are my fees so high?

Last year I had to pay full fees (around fifty five hundred) because I didn't do my exams and complete the year in the NUIM the year before. (Personal/Medical reasons)

I finished first year in Galway and I'm about to head into second year Arts. I was told I'd only have to pay around two thousand this year, but after registering online I'm being told I have to pay 5822 euro again.

Is this right? I thought I only had to pay full fees for repeating first year in a new college.

Were you in first or second year in NUIM when you left? If you were in second year, you'll have to pay the fees for the first two years of Arts.
If you only did one year in NUIM, you should be charged the normal rate for second Arts.

    Thanks for responding.

I only did first year in Maynooth, then I left.

So, I should only have to pay around two thousand then? I guess I'll have to contact the fees office.

It always tells me to pay full fees i think thats just how the registration works. Then in around february the government part always gets deducted.
Just pay 2224 as thats all you have to
